Listed | The Persecuted Church

This series honors the resilience of Christians around the world who choose each day to live for Christ rather than their own safety. It depicts locations from the Open Doors World Watch List, an authoritative, global index which ranks the top 50 most dangerous countries for Christians. In addition to featuring cultural symbols, the palette for each piece is determined by the colors of the country’s flag. (Note: transparency of layered inks can lead to additional or altered colors.)

Reduction linocuts are a creative-destructive process that begins with a sketch on a linoleum block. The block is carved away, layer by layer, and pressed into paper using different colored inks. By the end of the process, the prints are complete and the block is spent, never to be used again.
